Reports are coming in that rain and flooding halted some markets at Brimfield this morning. All the water has made parking particularly difficult. The New England Motel delayed this morning’s open until noon.  The field at May’s is flooded and is expected to re-open at 9 a.m. Friday.  J&J’s is planning to open an hour early, at 8 a.m. on Friday.  One report said despite being closed until noon, shoppers were still mulling in the mud throughout the morning. A 3 p.m. report from New England Motel said traffic was continuing to pick up, sales were at least existant, though parking remains a problem. More photos here.
