66th Fishersville Antiques Expo

Fisherville Antiques

If Antiques is the Question, Fishersville is the Answer!
FISHERSVILE, VA. The 65th Fishersville Antiques Expo is now history and what a fabulous show it was. It was a first for the reconfigured family ownership of Heritage Promotions with Ray and Martha Stokes, long time promoters, having their daughter, Lesley Bartram, join them as a full-fledged partner and co-owner of the show. And Lesley’s inaugural event as a partner was blessed with some of the best weather the show has experienced in years. According to Ray Stokes, the show experienced it’s best-ever first-day gate and many dealers remarked that they had their best first-day sales ever at a Fishersville show.
This long-running show has a history of great dealers and followers that has combined for amazing success over the years. Started in the 1980’s, the upcoming spring show will be the 66th edition of the twice yearly show which suggests that the Stokes’ have over 32 years of shows under their belts; a noteworthy accomplishment. While Ray and Martha are slowly passing the baton to Lesley and will eventually retire from the business, be assured, their fingerprints will remain on the business for perpetuity! That’s okay with Lesley because she intends to nurture the legacy she will inherit and guide Fishersville to even greater longevity and continued success. One of the challenges facing Lesley and other show promoters and dealers is what the future of the industry looks like. But the family Stokes is ready to meet that challenge and if the 65th show is any indication, it would seem the Fishersville dealers are already adapting to the evolving interests of the customers.
So, if you’ve never attended this amazing show, you have truly missed one the most exciting and diverse antique and collectibles shopping experiences in the mid-Atlantic area, even the entire eastern seaboard. Come and see both old and new dealers and what they’ve brought to sell. And come to enjoy all that the show has to offer – fun, excitement, getting “juiced” in bargaining and hopefully taking home that special piece for their home or as a gift.
Preparations are underway for the 66th edition of this antiques extravaganza and Heritage Promotions is once again reaching out to the best vendors of recent shows and recruiting from other regional shows to bring the best possible diversity of antiques and collectibles to Fishersville. Whether you are looking for 18th- and 19th-century American and English furniture, vintage Americana, mid-century modern, jewelry, silver, rugs, art or just about any type of collectible, there truly is a treasure just waiting to be found by any and all who attend.
The 66th Fishersville Antiques Expo will be held at the Augusta Expoland, 277 Expo Rd, Fishersville, VA.
