Amazon.com is going head-to-head with ebay with its new “make an offer” feature. The flexible pricing model for third-party sellers of art and collectibles allows users to click on the “Make an Offer” button and enter a bid. The seller has 72 hours to accept, reject, or give a counter offer, followed by 72 hours to respond to the counter offer. The changes however do not allow for auctions.
