You just never know where or when things are going to show up. A record was set recently when five Chinese carved rhinoceros horn cups believed to be from the late 17th century or early 18th century were brought to the Road Show. Valued at $1 to $1.5 million, the cups are the most valuable find in the appraisal show’s 16 years. The first objects to receive an appraisal topping $1 million were four pieces of carved Chinese jade brought in to a filming in North Carolina in 2009. Link to story.
