Bio:
Martha (Mignonne) Ryther (1896-1981) was born in Boston, Massachusetts and died in New York City. She studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School; with Maurice and Charles Predergast, c. 1906; and at Modern Art School, New York City. She is known for her reverse paintings on glass. Ryther began art classes for children at the Rockland Center for the Arts in West Nyack, where she taught for 25 years
