Queen City Shows is pleased to announce the dates for its 2019 Ohio Country Antique Shows at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington, Ohio. The spring session will be held on Saturday, April 13 and the fall show is scheduled for Saturday, October 5. Now in its 15th year of semiannual engagements, these show and sales are a highly respected destination for collectors and decorators in search of authentic, traditional American antiques and primitives.
Each Ohio Country Antique Show features 50 regional and national dealers representing several states. Both the sophistication and the simplicity of America’s early years are included in the booths and room settings assembled by these specialist dealers. Items on display can offer a glimpse into the décor of a colonial-era great house or may have been well worn in the single room of a pioneer log cabin. Besides an impressive selection of both large and small furniture, shoppers can choose from among a variety of appropriate accent pieces: early lighting; metal wares and stoneware; heirloom quilts, coverlets, and other textiles; formal and naive paintings; historical lithographs; folk art; early advertising signs and general store fixtures; toys and other children’s items; primitives; and, garden and architectural artifacts.
The Ohio Country Antique Show opens to the public at 9 A.M. Saturday.
There will be no preview or early buying period beforehand. Adult admission is $7.00 and parking is free. Show activities end at 3 P.M.
The Roberts Centre is located north of Wilmington at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Interstate 71 (exit #50). The facility is less than an hour’s drive from either Cincinnati or Columbus and about 45 minutes from Dayton. The complex includes multiple exhibition halls and a Holiday Inn with an attached restaurant.
