Lost Lichtenstein Uncovered in NY Warehouse

Roy Lichtenstein at the Art Institute of ChicagoThe New York Post reports a work by pop artist Roy Lichtenstein missing for more than four decades has been found in a New York warehouse. The $4 million work known as Electric Cord was last seen in 1970 when it was stolen. According to the report, it appears the work had recently been on display at a museum in Bogota. While it is not known who is claiming to own the painting, Barbara Castelli, widow of the art dealer Leo Castelli, is seeking the paintings return and trying to keep it from leaving New York or disappearing again.
