Museums Closing in Anticipation of Irene

Major museums in Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York are closing for the weekend. Not so for the Baltimore Antiques Show.

Hurricane Irene is coming and cities along the East Coast are busy preparing. With transit systems shutting down, museums are following suite. The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rodin Museum nd Fairmount Park Houses have announced they’ll all be slosed this Sunday. In New York the Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced its closed for the weekend. The Baltimore Museum of Art has announced its also closed for the weekend. A pop-up on the web site for the Baltimore Antiques Show indicates it will remain open come hail or high water, however. They didn’t put it in those terms exactly, but the show will go on. Let’s hope the weekend isn’t too interesting.
