Located in Chelsea, the The Garage flea market features two floors of merchandise including prints, furniture, paintings, frames and more. Specialized dealers focus on advertising art, glassware as well as Chinese and African art. This place is huge, and it seems to be where many dealers go to find items for resale. A fair warning, you have to get there early. One dealer told us he’s there by 7 a.m. Another says he’s there at 4:30 a.m. Of course seasoned flea market shoppers know while the best stuff is found early, the best deals can be found late when they’re faced with lugging merchandise home. Don’t forget there are two floors with two separate entrances. There’s also an outdoor market in a parking lot across the street. Weekends only.
