Roger Winter (1934-) Born in Denison, Texas and a graduate of the University of Texas, Winter went on to earn an MFA from the University of Iowa and began to teach painting and drawing. His first solo show was in Dallas in 1963, the same year his work was added to the collection at the Dallas Museum of Art where he taught painting, as well as at Southern Methodist University. He is the author of several books and studies with Everett Spruce and Loren Mozley.
